Fishing Report Sunday, August 24, 2003, we took a 21 fathom trip with Bacchus Charters. What a beautiful day to fish! Captain Doug Poe and mate Rick Burris were our host, and did a fantastic job. Although the fishing reports for the area had been weak because of the thermocline that hit the area hard this year, these two guys worked diligently to find fish and make our day special. They were both accommodating and cordial the entire day! We started out slow with just a couple of kings and some small barracuda. But, before the day was over we would have memories to last a lifetime. One in our party, Jack Horner, of Fayetteville, Georgia, caught his first ever sailfish, which excited everyone aboard. Click here to see the fish that made the day. Bacchus Charters came highly recommended to us, and we gladly pass along that recommendation to you. If you would like to go fishing with Bill Kerr, and his crew aboard the Bacchus, check out their web site Bacchuscharters.com, or you may e-mail them direct by clicking here. |
